Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Our Lord says to us in Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God.  I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!  The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.”

As we ponder those words, knowing, trusting in His promises and desiring the safety of all, we will be immediately going to an online-only worship beginning Sunday, March 15th, 2020. There will not be Bible Study, Sunday School, nursery, mid-week Soup Suppers, Choir Practice, and our mid-week Worship will be an online-only sermon recording available on the FLC website.  Volunteers positions such as acolytes, ushers, greeters, sound techs, etc. will not be needed during our online-only worship services.  Small groups are invited to meet at their own discretion and the church building will be available for these groups if needed.

Why move worship to online-only during a pandemic?

1. We are loving our neighbors by protecting our neighbors.

2. We are not being fearful. We are being responsible.

3. This is what “Showing the love of Jesus to people everyday” looks like in this season.

4. You can worship Jesus together in any place.

5. The church is people not a building.

Our pastors, the Lay Leader Board and the Board of Elders are carefully and continually monitoring this situation. As information evolves, our website is the primary, most up-to-date place for you to receive answers to commonly asked questions. We are committed to doing everything we can to provide a safe environment for our church family and surrounding community.

If there are any updates we will be sending out emails AND updating our website with the news.  In the meantime, we look forward to being with you online at our regular worship times of 8:15 and 11 am.  We would encourage mailing in or dropping off your offering and capital campaign contributions at the church, and we will be working on online giving options at the same time.  This time of year can be a low point in terms of meeting our budget so your continued financial contributions will be very vital to FLC.
